So, you’ve decided that a luxury picnic would be PERFECT for your next birthday, Easter Sunday dinner, or bachelorette party… but where should you host it? When navigating through COVID-19 regulations it can be hard to find public places or rent out event centers like we did pre-pandemic. We’ve got four creative locations where you can host your luxury picnic in the privacy of your home (indoor and out)!
Outdoors: In the Backyard
A backyard can be a beautiful place to host a luxury picnic for your next special event. The greenery, fresh air, and open spaces are perfect for additional decorations and activities to bring your picnic to the next level. Add an outdoor Bell Tent for guests to lay out, relax, and chat with friends after the meal is over.
Indoors: In the Dining Room
The dining room can be a great place to host your picnic as it’s a room already designed for eating! If you know your event will be after the sun goes down, or the weather won’t be on your side, hosting your picnic indoors is a great workaround. To make this space work, you can choose to remove the current dining room furniture or we can incorporate it into the decor!
Quick Tip!: Be sure to be mindful of any low-hanging chandeliers if you choose to remove the dining table and guests will be walking underneath. You wouldn’t want anyone to accidentally bump into it and hurt themselves or the light fixture!
Outdoors: On the Cement Patio
If you want to have your picnic outdoors, but don’t have a large enough green space or the ground is still damp from spring showers, a cement patio can be a perfect place! Luxury pillows and blankets can provide comfortable seating. Try adding balloon garlands around the patio door to make the entrance exciting and a memorable first impression for when your guests finally get to see the place settings.
Indoors: In the Living Room
The living room is a great place to host a luxury picnic indoors. Living rooms tend to be larger than dining rooms and can offer you more space if you want to keep your event indoors. Consider removing any centerpieces to the room so you have plenty of space to work with when you begin decorating. With the extra space, you can turn your picnic into an overnight event by adding sleepover tents and party favors!
